Now that you know how much you enjoy having a dog, you’ll probably find the opportunity to adopt another at some point. When your heart is ready, you’ll know.

I’m so sorry that this happened, Baker. But you gave this little dog probably more love than she’d ever had (based on being dumped), and when the end came, it was obviously so fast she literally didn’t know what hit her. There are worse ways to go than just as you’re doing something you love with someone you love.
When you’re ready, get another dog. Really, it’s the only love money can buy.
This will be my last post in this thread. I wanted to thank everyone for their expressions of sympathy.
I have decided I will get another dog. I hope to find one as small, lively, and cute as my Quickster was. Perhaps when I have found a new love, I’ll start a thread about it.
