So we just found a stray puppy

I already have 4 kids, 2 cats and one dog. The last thing I need is a puppy.

But she was in the middle of the street and cars were almost hitting her. We asked around the neighborhood but no one claimed her. So we brought her home, fed her (she ate 3 huge bowls of dog chow), and let her sniff around.

She is adorable, very people oriented, loving, and fairly well behaved (for a puppy). She is white with one black ear and a few black spots. She is a total mutt, but very cute nonetheless.

I’m not so good at knowing how to post pictures, but here is a link the the Craigslist Lost and Found ad that I put in, and there is a picture there.

Any ideas for names? Not that we are keeping her or anything. Definitely not.

She looks like a Spot to me.

She’s adorable! You know, I’d say she’s ours, but I don’t think she made it from where I am to where you are by her lonesome.

April.

Lucky, of course.

Traffic.

…and she is almost cute enough to make me squee. Almost. 'Cuz I don’t squee, ever.
But you have to admit, she looks like a little stuffed toy in that pic!

Oh, she’s so cute! I would be so tempted to keep her, but I bet someone claims her soon.

Hey Alice, you live in Tucson. Want an adorable puppy? FREE! You can’t live far from me if we shop at the same Fry’s.

She is a sweetie! Good luck with the newest addition to your family!

How adorable! You are a good person for taking her in out of the big, dangerous world.

Anyone want to take bets on the chances of her leaving if she’s not claimed?

She looks like a nice little Lady to me. Kudos to you for rescuing the pup in her hour of need.

Alright, she spent the night with us and I have to admit she is a pretty amazing puppy. She’s only 2-3 months, but she didn’t piddle or poop in the house at all. And she was quiet all night with no whimpering or barking. But she isn’t perfect. She chews on everything she sees!

This morning we’ll go to the Humane Society to have her checked for a microchip and list her as a ‘found dog.’

My husband wants to keep her.

Keep her!!!

Call her “Speck”. Then, when people ask you if it is because she is tiny, say no, it is a Richard Speck reference.

Keep keep keep keep!

If she doesn’t have a chip, and nobody claims her…then she’s probably yours. Or your husband’s. She’s absolutely adorable, and I wonder if she has some Jack Russell Terrier in her.

She looks a little bit like the RCA Victor dog. Probably because I can’t see her other spots. He was called Nipper.

Or, in honor of the spots, you could pull out 101 Dalmations and pick one of the names. There weren’t 101 names provided, but there were a few.

I clicked on that link expecting some ugly ass mutt dog that only a person who just suffered some emotional stress could love but I gasped when I saw the picture. That is one cute puppy and looks alert and healthy too. I want to cruise the streets for a stray dog now.

She looks kind of like a Bear to me.

And Shag, how many ugly puppies are there in the world? I mean…dogs, yeah. But PUPPIES?

Looks like a Sally to me. She’s adorable.

That’s great that she made it through the night quietly and without an accident. She’ll still be teething, which explains the chewing (but you probably knew that). Sadie’s favorite teething toy was frozen washcloths and socks.
