If I were allergic to horses or cats.
How bout you?
If I were allergic to horses or cats.
How bout you?
You’d be suprised what you can get accustomed to.
I’m still alive and I’m not only allergic to horses and cats, but dogs and rabbits, too. That’s just the animals we know] about. Wouldn’t be suprized if I turned out to be allergic to elephants and pigs. I’m also allergic to several types of pollen, mold and dust mites. Pretty soon, we’re going to have to put me in a bubble.
What Spooje said.
I was extremely allergic to cats before I moved in to my last apartment. The day I moved in, I spotted a mouse scurry accross the living room floor. The building was having an outbreak right when I moved in. Lucky me, I’m more terrified of mice than I am of puffy eyes. So I got a cat. Within a month, the mice were gone. My cat stayed. I still had an allergy to the cat, but after a couple of months, I grew a tolerance to my cat. No allergies to speak of now, 7 months later. The body seems to adjust after a while in terms of animal allergies.
–By the way Boscibo, that’s a pretty shitty way to have someone look at your thread, the teaser bit. I mean, it wasn’t a gag thread or anything like that, so why not mention the subject in the subject heading?
If I were allergic to cats(dogs, horses), (which I may be, from the state of my sinuses), I’d just take drugs. Copious drugs, if necessary. I will not do without my animals.
When I was growing up, my best friend was allergic to chocolate and I always thought that was really sad.
I never thought I could live without TV but I’m surprised to learn I can. I have to assume the same is true with favorites like cheese, suede shoes, etc…
oops, read the question as what could we live without in general. anyway, no animals, so no problems there.
I was just thinking about my cousin. We are four days apart in age and while growing up together she could never be around my horse. Even though she received allergy shots it was still unpleasant for her to be around equines. I felt sorry for her because she loved horses.
I was just wondering how it would feel to have a physical reason to be separated from something I really love. I love gardening and plants and have a slight reaction to azeleas, but that doesn’t stop me from growing them…I just don’t handle them often. My love for horses started years before I owned one, and I would have been devestated to find out I was allergic to them.
CnoteChris: I could of titled the thread “I love horses and cats!” but I was thinking more along the lines of what people are allergic to and how it affects them, not a “What’s your favorite animal?” thread.
