I have never visited Cracked on-line, though I did used to read the print version (but prefered Mad) in my younger days. I have also never heard of that book/movie. Since I always seem to be pressed for time these days, can someone tell me what happens?

The movie was a series of short stories eventually compiled into a book that was then turned into this movie: John Dies at the End (2012) - IMDb The movie is quite good for what it is, if you’re expecting Shakespeare you’ll be disappointed, but I’d put it up there with if not ahead of many comedy/horror mashups. It kind of defies an easy summary, maybe ghost hunting stoners meet the apopolypse. It would probably be a good companion piece for Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. I loved Cracked and read it most days.

I still like Cracked, though it can be hit-and-miss: some days, I read every article; and other days, nothing appeals to me. I do like the Photoplasties and Image Macros, and have participated in a few.

FWIW the site really has nothing to do with the magazine. It is more of a general comedy site with List based articles. As far as the plugs, I don’t find it more of less obnoxious than anyone else. Authors always plug books and other things they have to sell.

Hee hee, must have been a poor attempt at humor on my part. Book/movie called “Joe dies at the end”, I say “Haven’t read/seen it, what happens?”.

I did think the site spun off from the mag, though.
