A refresh puts everything in the default stage. All previous add-ons are gone. Add block, flash block, etc.
Everything runs so much faster. Sure I have adds now, but I love the speed.
Why is this?
I was enjoying the new speed. Everything was faster. Keyboarding, loading pages.
But, I kept getting this postage stamp video, encouraging me to visit Mexico. It was on numerous sites, because I could hear it at the same time. But it wasn’t in sync.
Because I like to listen to music, it was a bummer.
Had to add the AddBlock to get rid of it. Before I had AddBlock+ and Flash block. Trying to avoid those as I have found they do slow somethings down.
But now I can see NPR videos without getting the error message.
Life is good.
Ublock origin is probably the lightest adblocker. And you don’t need a Flash blocker–go to the Addons (in the three line menu), go to plugins, and then switch Flash to “Ask to Activate”
As for your question? I don’t know. I actually usually reinstall all my addons, and it’s still a lot faster. All I can think is that a bunch of junk builds up over time.
