I didn't know [x] played that role...on Seinfeld

Melinda Clarke (Julie Cooper-Nichol on The O.C.) played Jerry’s girlfriend in the episode “The Muffin Tops,” featuring Kramer’s “Peterman Reality Tour” and Jerry’s experiment with shaving his chest hair. But that was in '97, so I don’t think that her current career can be attributed to her stint on Seinfeld.

(She also played a whorehouse madam on an episode of Firefly that was never aired.)

It’s Cortese. And I think that one shot role might have been the pinnacle of his career, so I don’t think it fits here.

One can’t forget the well-established yet highly unknown Bob Balaban.

Patrick Warburton was also on Dave’s World, the sitcom based on the works of Dave Barry. He played a handyman and Dave’s assistant’s boyfriend.

But surely you of all people know that he was a star on Broadway loooonng before Seinfeld or King of Queens, right? Hurlyburly, Guys and Dolls, etc…

And IMDB states that he and his wife were on the Ed Sullivan show 36 times!

Um…nope. From her IMDB link:

Well dangit:

Yes, I knew. But I believe Seinfeld was his first sitcom role.

(Based on Dijon’s confusion with Teri)

Going down the list of guest stars for the final episode is sure to be interesting, as it was largely a ‘who’s who’ of the most well-remembered guest stars from the run of the show.

You ever listen to Dr. Demento as a kid? Stiller and Meara routines were a staple on that show. One of the most successful comedy teams of the '60s they were.

David Naughton, the lead in An American Werewolf In London was in “The Red Dot.”
And Mark Metcalf (Animal House - Neidermeyer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer - first season, The Master) had a recurring role and Kramer’s friend The Maestro.

Raquel Welch was in an episode, as well.

Wasn’t Larry David the “Man in the Cape” (Frank Costanza’s Lawyer in that one Episode)?

I think it was, but not 100% sure. Great Episode that one was.

His first regular sit-com role was on the Paul Lynde show back in 1973,

Not to mention currently on Less Than Perfect. He and Will Sasso were both added to the show 2 seasons ago. One of the few sitcom changes that actually improved the show.

Denise Richards played the NBC exec’s teenage daughter. George was caught staring at her cleavage.

That was indeed Larry David. that’s also him saying, “Excuse me your highness, we don’t accept bills with lipstick on the President” when George tries to buy something dressed as King Henry V (or something) for Kramer’s movie theater premiere.

Hmm…has anyone ever had a bill refused over something as small as lipstick on the president?

-Joe

Yeah. Given her career since then, this fact is almost eerie. (Who’d have thought of Costanza as being so much ahead of the times? )

Didn’t he play the same character (president of NBC) on both Seinfeld and The Late Shift?

Yup. Russell Dalripple (fictional) and Warren Littlefield (real).

He was also a voice of a passenger on one of the airplane eps.
