Holy smoke! I could have sworn alice’s post wasn’t there before. Sheesh.
Not one person is going to charge in here and say it’s no big deal, you all need to get over yourselves?
Not me. I think it’s sick too.
I would have thought that all the light shone on these kiddy-pornstar pageants by the JonBenet case would have made them less popular; I don’t know if it did or not.
I’m apparently clue-free myself, too. I think I had the window open for an hour or two, and forgot to preview. Sorry.
Ya know, I watch those shows and get a bad taste in my mouth too.
However, they don’t depict reality for the majority of participants. In any extra-curricular activity for kids, be it hockey, football, cheerleading (I was one of those too), chess or whatever, there are going to be parents that act like total moronic ass-hats and try to live vicariously through their children.
I did pagents. They were fun. I liked to dress up. I’m not a whore. I was not murdered in my parents basement. I have healthy self-esteem.
Really. Get over it.
Everyone happy now?
Yeah, I saw that too a few months ago. I felt so sorry for Swan. I’m willing to grant that some kids have fun, but this moved from the realm of “extra curricular activities” to a profession. Six year old children should not have professions.
