The original Disney Winnie the Pooh voice (Sterling Holloway), IMHO, perfectly encapsulated the ‘bear of little brain’ theme.
But the new voice in the Tigger Movie (Jim Cummings) just sounds like annoying babytalk.
Am I right?
Utterly and completely right! The same goes for all the “new generation voices” for Disney and Warner Brothers cartoons if you ask me. It’s like a sequel to a blockbuster movie where they couldn’t get the original actors to play the parts so they turned it into a musical. Ugh!
And for some reason, they’ve seen fit to recycle old cartoon ideas with new drawings and the new voices. The end result REALLY SUCKS. The “rabbit season, duck season” joke isn’t as funny and the psuedo Bugs is reeeeallly irritating.
Glad to see I’m not the only one that feels this way.
