I can relate. I certainly don’t need a KitchenAid Pro Line 2-slice toaster with nickel pearl finish. What kind of a moron would buy a *toaster *that lists for almost $200 (but through judicious shopping, can be obtained for around $150)? Sure, it’s built like a tank, toasts perfectly, and looks fantastic on the kitchen counter, but conspicuous consumption has never been my “thing.”
Come to think of it, I didn’t need the Kitchen-Aid blender and food processor, either. And the hand mixer is right out.
Only 16 years? Aw, who’s got a cute widdle baby Kitchen-Aid mixer?
I don’t have my great-grandmother’s Kitchen-Aid, the original K5-A model! More than half a century that thing hasn’t been whipping up meringues and meringue cookies in no time flat, whipping cream before the hot cocoa is finished cooking, not to mention the cookies and cakes and play dough and shredded carrots for my famous Carrot Soup recipe…
Absolutely not. It certainly can’t grind 10 lbs of pork shoulder, mix the spices in, and make fresh bratwurst and/or Italian sausage.
Nope. No sir.
You are so right. I don’t need to off my 450 watt bright red Artisan so I can upgrade to the professional 600 watt model. It doesn’t matter that Amazon has them for as low as $299 plus a $50 rebate, bringing the price down to $249, I don’t need it.
After all, who wants fresh pasta, or bread, or ground meat, sausage, or ice cream?
Fish Am I helping?
You know what, Rick? I so don’t need the KitchenAid 450 watt stand mixer, I’m going to prove it. I ordered one off of Amazon and when it gets here I won’t make any cookies at all.
Ha! That’ll show 'em!
That’s the spirit! And you should totally not send me any of them, either.
Is it chocolate or butterscotch oatmeal that you definitely didn’t want? Because that’s what I’ll pointedly refrain from making.
I just don’t need a new foot plate for my grandmother’s stand mixer. There’s no problem when kneading dough having the bowl moving all over the place. It’s not preventing me from making anything like pizza, or calzone.
So, nope. Don’t need it.
No you don’t need a KA mixer, because they’re EVIL! and appear to be based on Cylon technology…
I didn’t need it when I made sourdough bread yesterday (or the 3 loaves from the past week for the thanksgiving feast).
I didn’t need it then, either, when I made my pumpkin flan.
I didn’t need it throughout the year, making focaccias, pizza doughs, or random batches of cookies.
I didn’t need it when mixing up batches of meatloaf.
I didn’t need during the Christmas holidays, when I made marshmallows to give away as gifts.
I certainly won’t need it when all the holiday baking starts next week.
Nope, I don’t need one at all.
I need one, get it for me!
I didn’t need one for the two chocolate cakes I baked this weekend.
But it sure as hell helped!!!
Well, I always don’t want chocolate, but butterscotch oatmeal sounds so interesting and different that I’ll make it a particular point not to ask you for the recipe for that.
Speaking just for myself, I really don’t want the recipe for the butterscotch oatmeal cookies and would not eat them if you sent them to me.
Can I have yours then, if you get one? Kthxbye.
I didn’t need a reconditioned one for Christmas last year, but my mom and sister bought me one anyway. So it’s their fault that I made all those cookies, and lemon bread, and pizza dough, and stuff that I still don’t need!
I love my mom and sis!
Yup. I don’t need one either. I don’t need to be making cookies once a week, every birthday cake from scratch, pounds of fudge every December, bread, buscuits (because you can cut in the shortening by hand even if it’s 4 times slower than using the mixer.) I could get my hands messy making meatloaf as well.
Yup. Don’t need it at all.
But I use my 15 year old white Professional model all the time anyway. What I don’t need is the red one. It would look so pretty in my kitchen, though.
Not that I would know — because I’m not reading the recipe off a handy bag of Nestlé butterscotch chips — but I suspect the recipe would contain 1¼ cups of AP flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp cinnamon, and ½ tsp salt combined in a bowl, and in a separate bowl 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, 3/4 cup granulated white sugar, 3/4 cup packed brown sugar, 2 large eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract beat together. Then I suspect you’d combine the two together, then stir in 1 2/3 cups of chips and 3 cups of quick or old-fashioned oats and bake 9-10 minutes at 375°.
However, I suspect if you bought a bag of Nestlé butterscotch chips, the recipe might be on the bag.
