This one is close to home. In fact, within mere miles. In Purcell, OK,, a 10 year old girl’s body was found in a plastic tub in an apartment downstairs of where she lived. According to locally aired reports, she was kidnapped, raped, tortured, murdered, and was going to be canniballized.
I think I now understand why some of you Pit news stories. I heard the Amber Alert when she went missing. I saw the detailed coverage on my local news about the case as things developed. I have family and friends in that town. I was just there about two weeks or so ago.
As for the alleged murderer, hell, what do I know? I wish for a fair trial, for all involved. If this guy is indeed guilty…
We all have to die but we should all die peacefully, in our sleep, at age 90 or so.

Is that how an Amber Alert works? Somebody has to see the child being taken?
I can’t believe there isn’t a thread about this already. This guy was a huge internet entity, blogs, message boards, myspace. He openly fantasized about kidnapping and cannibalizing people.
I’m against the death penalty but i’ll be damned if this guy doesn’t make me stop and think.
If stuff like this makes you finally stop and think (about the DP I presume) I have to wonder what was lacking in all the other news stories over the past 30 years like this.
I can’t imagine anyone being able to come up with some sort of defense for this worthless peice of shit, but I’m sure we’ll see it.
The only reason it makes me stop and think is because I think this person is like a sick and rabid dog that needs to be put down…not because I enjoy taking vicious revenge on people.
Just a few weeks ago a 10 or 11 year old girl was raped and killed a less than 10 miles from where I live. And now another little girl - a little farther away this time.
I recall seeing the Amber Alert on TV last Thursday night and thinking “What do these sicko’s want with 10 year olds?!” Then a couple days later I read the news articles describing that they found her in a rubbermaid container with saw marks on her neck and that he raped her corpse. That absolutely sickens me.
I think that criminals should be treated with the same decency as they treated their victims. Now enforcing that… who knows how that would work. But I’m for the death penalty - and not peacefully being injected with chemicals. What kind of punishment is that?! Do they numb the IV area too?!
If this guy truly did the heinous things that have been reported - I hope he gets what he deserves.
From what I’ve heard, they have to have evidence that some kind of crime was comitted. Two little boys recently went missing in Milwuakee, and the authorites wouldn’t issue an Amber Alert because though the two were studious, obedient children, there was no evidence they had been abducted. (It turned out the two boys had drowned in a nearby pond.)
I think we’re probably closer on this issue than either of us realize. I have the same feelings about child molesters in the analogy of being equivalent to animals that just need to be put down. It’s absoluely abhorrent to me. (And no, I’ve never been molested as has been suggested in another thread).
Serial rapists, chronic child- wife-beaters. I’d prefer the courts just stay the hell out of it if it was one of my loved ones. In that case revenge may be a motive since it would be personl. But in a case like the shitbag in the OP? No revenge. Just rid the world of another dangerous animal.
See, in theory, I’m for it. My deeply felt opinion is that a murderer should be removed. In practice, tho, the system is full of abuses and inequities, even iniquities. But, if it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt that this guy actually did take her life in such a sick manner, then yeah, get rid of him. Don’t put him away, sucking up all those resourses. Remove his life from him. Obviously, this an IMHO, YMMV opinion. I don’t hold anything against anyone who feels differently, pro or con. This is just the way I feel.
The way the news has been presented, online and on air locally, it looks like a virtually airtight case against him. I have a gut feeling he’ll get Dahmered. Yes, Oklahoma is a Death Penalty state.
As for the Amber Alert system, we’ve recently had some local stories about it, too. Seems there are still some problems between the states to work out.
Anyone who gets outraged by this story is clearly insane. How could anybody wish the death penalty on this man? Anyone who supports it, is obviously on the same level as him. Clearly he needs rehabilitation, so he can get back on his feet and be a productive member of society again. It probably wasn’t his fault anyway.
You know what? Fuck you. Being against the death penalty does NOT automatically equate to “he wasn’t responsible/he shouldn’t be punished” or whatever stupid-assed thing you idiots think. I’m against the death penalty just because one innocent person put to death is one innocent person too many, and you can’t save that one innocent person without unfortunately saving all the uber-lowlife scumbags too, but damned if I don’t want someone like that guy locked up in super-extra-duper maximum fucking security for the rest of his life with nothing but roaches to keep him company.
My response was more to those on the boards that seem to think if you support killing murders and rapists for their crimes, that somehow you’re just as bad a person. As experienced in previous outrage threads. Personally, I feel this guy should be tortured on Pay-Per-Vue. But somehow I’m a maniac if I say this. But I do not in not in anyway support killing someone whom is innocent of their accused crimes. Only those that are 100% guilty of these types of crimes. There is no hope for people like this.
Since this fucker had his sick ramblings up all over the web, why don’t some of these places (legality issues aside) leave that shit up, but locked or what-have-you, as some sort of cautionary tale? I’m sure many who read what he spewed thought it was nonsense. I doubt I probably wouldn’t have gone beyond thinking that he was just a freak wannabe. Sadly, in my humble opinion, if it was there to peruse after the fact, when their heinous acts have come to light, it’d certainly drive home its potential to be reality. I know I could use a dose now and then. Especially when I forget and only look around with my rose-colored glasses.
Just for the record, it takes up far less resources to lock someone up for the rest of their life than to execute them. A capital case usually costs at least double what lifetime incarceration does.
