I felt smart!

The other day, my son was sorting through our videotapes and he happened upon my tape of Gone With the Wind. He commented on what a long movie it was, then said, “So how many pages long is the book?” I answered immediately, “One thousand and twenty four pages, in paperback.” He and my daughter refused to believe that I might know the answer to such a question off the top of my head, so they went to check my bookshelf and found that I was right. Then they looked at me with awe and newfound respect shining in their eyes.

Well, no, actually they didn’t, but I felt pretty awesome just the same. What are the odds that anyone would ever ask for one of the meaningless bits of information gathering dust in the crevices of my brain? I can tell you it doesn’t happen often. Of course, the kids were the only ones around to witness this amazing feat of trivia, but I comforted myself with knowing that I could post it here.

If you knew the answer too, please don’t tell me.

I totally did not know the answer, you’re smart!!

I’d never know the answer to a question like that.
But my feeling smart is done when Weakest Link is on at work.

Thank you, thank you. :o
And now, I’ll be off to Great Debates!

Hahahahahahaha!
