The Atkins diet is dangerous. I was told last week (after emergency gallbladder surgery) that the reason I gained 10 pounds and got so sick on that diet was because my gallbladder couldn’t handle all the fats in the meat. I wish he had told me that BEFORE telling me to go ahead
Stupid doctors anyway. They couldn’t tell the difference between the West Nile Virus, viral meningitis, and an “atypical” migraine either. I went into the hospital last week with a severe headache (from meningitis due to the WNV I had) and they removed my gallbladder! I STILL have no clue how they figured out THAT was bad. Good grief and these are the people we look at to get us healthy when we are sick??? :smack: I think I need a lawyer…:dubious:
Your gall bladder was probably on its way out anyway. Don’t blame it on the Atkins plan. Millions have done it with gall bladder problems.
And no doubt millions are having the resulting laparoscopic cholcystectomies as we speak.
Seriously, I hope you’re feeling better, and since you evenutally got the correct diagnosis, I don’t really think lawyers are necessary. Get well soon!
