I don’t spit in the face of superstition because you never know. So I found a horse shoe which is suppose to be good luck. I want to hang it up. I’ve heard that the ends have to point up so the luck doesn’t run out.
Does it need to be placed over and entrance or is anyplace in the hours OK. I don’t want to screw this up.
Over an entrance, preferably the main one. Or on the otherside, the indoor side of an entrance above the threshhold. Or you can do it above the thresh hold of a room as well…
We had an ice storm this winter (4" snow, a couple inches of rain, topped off with 8" of additional snow all in the span of a few hours), and it ruined the back deck. A few weeks ago the replacement was finally finished, and in the process of readying the ground a horse shoe was dug up. It’s tiny, so we figure it must have belonged to a pony.
The property used to be part of a state park, so who knows what else might be lurking in the ground!
Some people say you should hang it upside down, so the good luck would fall onto you as you passed through the door. I say you place it sideways, just in case…!
I had a horseshoe in my room when I was younger, but I got it from a stable after the farrier had been by!
