You probably need to upgrade Flash. I had the same problem (actually, I’ve known for a while I was out of date), but when I got the newest version it worked fine.
hmm, what a cool game! The graphics are so simple, but they’re very well suited to it.
hey, I know that guy – Jenova was part of the team that worked on Cloud. It’s similar, in terms of design, controls and overall ‘feel’, and is also pretty fun.
I’m in a black layer, there were some lillte critters, I ate all of them. Now there is nothing left to eat, not even the things that move you up or down. And the music is very creepy sound effects.
This is basically a virtual pond scum simulator. Very cool.
I kept eating the red dots, never the blue ones, sending me deeper and deeper.
The creatures get bigger. I agree about the white monsters moving away from you are the best time to eat them.
I got to a point, maybe 15 or 20 levels deep, where I encountered a creature just like me, but it had about 10 levels of “arms” on it, whereas I only had one level or “arms” and a bit of a tail. It moved very fast and always attacked me. I couldn’t get an angle on it to get him from behind. It was beating me and eating my bits.
Circles are good. So is darting randomly, and curvey zig zags, staying in constant motion, and changing speeds suddenly. That critter uses your own strategies, so you have to be able to change strategies to get it. (I’d used circular motions for the most part, so I had to change to linear darting motions to zoom in and bite my opponent.)
I could never eat the circle jellyfish type thingies. Sometimes I could eat critters that looked like me, if I bit them on the tail.
My son got more than one set of “arms”, but I never did. I like the concept alot, and I don’t play computer games really. (sometimes I help my son with Harry Potter).
I wonder what happens if you refuse to eat anything? Some kind of time-out that kills you? Or does something come along and eat YOU?
You can get eaten in this.
If you don’t eat anything, nothing much happens. If you go down to levels with boss critters and you don’t eat them, they’ll eat you - when you lose all your “life” segments (grayed out) you get bumped up to the next highest level, and lose your last segment. I got 11 sets of arms one time. It’d be cool if the levels were re-seeded so you could keep playing.
Yeah, I got there. Then I ate my way back to the top, and made sure I’d left nothing in my path.
Kinda disappointing that once you’ve eaten everything, it just kind of limbos out; nothing happens until you get bored of waiting for something to happen.
You should sprout legs or wings or something, and fly away.
I noticed that the (for lack of better term) plankton that you feed on get larger and give you more, um, energy? the deeper you go. I thought maybe that all the levels started out with the same little one dot plankton and they kind of grow the longer you go without getting down there… but on my way back up after defeating Bizarro they were still all tiny.
One strategy I’ve found is, when you are faced with more than one enemy on a level, don’t try to take one out at a time, because the others will eat the goodies that the dead enemy drops, including +s. Try to nibble away at the solid circles on each enemy on the level until they’re all down to one, then try to kill them all as quickly as possible and clean up the goodies later.
I beat the snake thing at the bottom. Now there’s nothing to do
A good strategy for it is to come up behind it, eat and run away, then come up behind again… easier than chasing each other around in circles.
Playing cloud made me motion sick.
