Decided to make it multiple choice. Note that “Pescetarian” will eat any seafood, and not just fish (Piscitarian).
Pollo-pescetarian here, plus veggies and fruits.

Is there a reason “Grains” is not on the list?
I eat everything, as proven from my plate at the office Thanksgiving potluck. I just ate food from several different continents. And dessert.
My name might just as well be Mangetout. I’ll eat anything.
Everything on that list except poultry. I had pet chickens a few years ago, now I don’t eat them or any bird meat anymore.
I ate a bug on the weekend. On purpose. It wasn’t bad, but I don’t see that becoming a steady part of my diet.
If I was to name a class of food that I won’t eat, it’s SPICY!!! I tend to prefer mildly seasoned dishes, and I don’t like hot at all. But as for the food pyramid (or whatever we use now) I like all categories.
Anything that touches the water by environment is a no-go. Almost anything else is up for grabs, although, I accidentally hit submit before I could choose fruits as well. The only thing that doesn’t make my list is seafood.
I will eat everything on the list. I don’t like a lot of non-fish seafood but will eat shrimp and oysters.
I would eat bugs, gladly, if everyone didn’t insist I had to eat them while they looked like bugs. Do I gnaw meat directly off the cow? Fuck no. Make them into some kind of bug grain or bug flour and I’ll eat them. Do not hand me a bunch of mealworms and say “Eat up!”
I draw the line at bugs.
I’m reliably informed that exactly this happens when I eat peanut butter or just about any processed food. There’s definitely some lower bound of bug parts in my food and so far, it doesn’t seem to have killed me (or made me stronger). On the other hand, if I were on one of those survival shows that strand you in the Australian Outback or some godforsaken swamp, I think I’d have extreme difficulty choking down grubs or crickets.
I do throw some dried meal worms into my bird feeder mix, but have not yet been tempted to try any.
Yeah, see? I am ok with it if I don’t have to see it.
I have the proportional strength of a grain weevil.
I’ll eat basically anything. Certainly any of the broad groups listed.
I’ll eat anything on that list, though I’m not a big fan of fruit.
Hear, hear! Me too. You know how some people are “universal recipients” for blood donations? That’s me with regard to food!
Is that what Mangetout means? I’ve long wondered. Bon appetit!
Shrimp and lobster are very “bug-like” and remarkably yummy. My papa used to munch grasshoppers. He said they’re pretty yummy.
Bombardier beetles are right out.
I think I’ve never heard anyone say that before. Do you have allergies, or some other reason for antipathy? I lurves me a good crisp apple, or sliced peaches, or a nice messy plum… Gettin’ all drooly just thinking about it!
I’m OK with eating most living things except that I try to avoid pork, octopus, and bugs.
And ever since I saw those giant arthropods that look just like roly-polies, I classify lobster and crawdads as “bugs” if presented to me in their intact state. (I’m OK with them if I don’t have to look at their buggishness, and I will eat shrimp regardless, because I am inconsistent.)
The pork and octopus thing is just because those animals are intelligent enough that it feels wrong to eat them. Even if they are sooooo tasty. And even if I have trouble resisting spam Musubi or Sausage McMuffins sometimes. Because mostly, I succeed at avoiding eating them. Mostly.
Nope, just never been fond of fruit. I wish I was, because I know it’s good for you. The only fruits I don’t mind (and even then I’m not fond of them) are apples and bananas.
I will eat anything that isn’t an oyster, and I will occasionally eat an oyster if only to remind myself of why I don’t eat oysters.
You forgot the creamy nougat center food group.
Because I was a bit tired from a heavy work load this week, changed the poll halfway through from voting on things like vegan vs. vegetarian vs. meat eater, and, in my haste, neglected to remember another major food group? :smack:
