I will attempt to be serious. No guarantees about how it will work out. I live in a dating wasteland. The number of eligible people is laughable, near to non-existent. My concept of eligibility is different from that of a lot of people I’ve encountered, which skews my perceptions. Every time I have become interested in someone local and begun to date them, they have revealed some sort of deal-breaking flaw. Everything from being married to attempting to murder ex-lovers. I have many good friends but I can’t flirt with them, of course. Message board flirting is not a bad substitute when one can’t get it in real life because no one there is worth flirting with. I don’t see a damn thing wrong with “keeping in practice” online. You never know what will happen. Could be creepy, could be the one you’ve been looking for. If one is so inclined, the two might even be one and the same.

Or learning for the first time. Not all of us were social experts in their teens ans twenties; some of us have to learn social skills the hard way.
