I got a “friend” request and it creeped me right out, and made me wonder what I had done wrong. We don’t have friends here on the Dope - we have enemies and temporary allies.
I don’t know. Somehow put that way it almost sounds like more a stalker than a friend.

Aw, that’s nice! I just noticed the friend request and found this thread. I’m pleased to be a member of the “Friends of Idle Thoughts” society.
Just a small bump. I recently added another 10 or 20 (I tend to go in spurts) of those whom I personally like the posts of, have noticed more often as of late, or just who I think are good, regular posters who help make this place the good and interesting site it is…so if you got one from me and wondered what was up with it, that’s why. I also give a bit of a longer explanation in posts number 9 and 12 in this very thread.

Nope. Just checked Facebook. Pretty sure I’ve got the gender correct.
Although there was that whole April Fool’s thing.
I had understood that Facebook page to be more of a parody site, so I suspect the gender there may not be accurate. But I’ve not kept up on recent announcements (nor do I care to anymore) so I could be mistaken.
