So recently I had a post in GQ asking if anybody had advice for finding a job. I’m happy to say that I just got one: I’m going to be a sales associate at an area retail store. I’m on a 90 day probationary period, and then they’ll determine if it’s a good permanent match. Very excited, a bit nervous, here’s hoping I do well.
Best of luck, hope it works out.
PS: I used to be in sales and I did ok. The best piece of advice I can give is try to be sincere. A lot of new sales people try to be charming with customers but more often than not, it will put them off. If you come across as sincere you will have a better interaction with your customer.
Woohoo! Congratulations. Wishing you joy in your new position.
Sha na na na, Sha na na na na na,
Sha na na na, Sha na na na na na…
Way to go and best of luck to you!
Congratulations!
I went through 10 months of jobless hell at the beginning of this recession in 2009.
I make it a point to congratulate everyone who finds a job now. Looking for work, and never finding any, can really eat away at your soul.
Best of luck - and I’m sure you’ll do fine!!
Congratulations! And good luck.
Is it a straight salary/hourly wage or do you earn commissions?
Congratulations! Those are sweet words to hear. I’m sure you’ll do great!
This!! Very happy for you. ![]()
