For those not in the know, a talk box is a guitar toy that takes the signal from your gee-tar and sends it up a tube, in to your mouth. Then you can talk like the guitar is your voice. Think Peter Frampton, and you’ll know what I mean.
For all of you, this is the most funnest toy ever. It arrived in the mail today, so I found it when I got home. Tomorrow, a great many of my friends will find that a guitar called their cell-phones and left them a message! Hehehehe.
It took a few minutes’ practice to learn to talk with that damn tube down my throat, but I can pull it off well enough to be understood quite clearly now. I recorded myself a few times to be sure.
So, any ideas for really fun things to do with this (besides play groovy guitar songs, that’s a given)? Also, fellow talk box users, how do you make the sounds that require using your throat to cut off the sound? Like hard g’s, c’s and k’s? I’ve got everything else down… I bet there’s a place on the web that would tell me how to do that stuff, huh?
I can’t help it, I’m psyched as hell. Wheeeee!!!
