I got called a bot today

I was in a chatroom today and was told by someone that he thought I was a bot because of the comments I was making. Well, this was a trivia game chatroom, so I assume he was talking about the comments I would make about the questions, answers to the questions, etc. For example, when there was a question about Paint Your Wagon I said some of the lines from the song on the Simpsons.

Anyone have any idea what he meant and if I should be insulted?

You got called a “bot”:

  1. You got called a faceless machine, who only spits out a preplanned answer based on what is typed.

  2. You got called a faceless machine, bent on eliminating the human race in a post-nuclear-holocaust world, and your other name is known as “Terminator”.

I’d vote for number two.

Tripler
I think we can all figure out what I’m watching on TV tonight.

You failed the Turing test!

I get accused of using an aimbot sometimes when I play Battlefield 1942, usually after getting lucky and popping someone’s head from about 500 yards away with my BAR 1918.

Maybe they’re abbreviating “bloodclot.” If so, yes, that’s rather insulting.

You were called a bot because your awnsers were simplicite and mundane.
