I got my first Chick Tract today... (help?)

And it’s left me a little bit  . I expect it will be the only one I ever receive, but it was… odd. About a month ago, I decided to “do ebay”, and I bid and won on several items. Most of them are old gameboy games since they were typically cheap and I wanted to start small. Yesterday, I received a note in the mailbox left by a postal carrier that I had a package to pick up at the nearest Canada Post centre. I went, got it, and expected one of my games. But when I took a look at it, it looks like the top of the envelope had been cut open, and instead of my game, there was a booklet inside. At first, I thought maybe the seller was trying to send some sort of religious message, but then I thought they probably wouldn’t risk the trouble with ebay for that. The game wasn’t even inside.

So… has my mail been tampered with, and what can I do about it?

That is weird. Was it in fact from the seller?

My guess is tampering from a PO employee with a bad sense of humor.

I can think of two possibilities.

  1. An over-zealous postal worker realised it was a video game, opened the parcel and replaced your game with the tract.

  2. The seller sent the tract with your game, then a postal worker realised there was a game inside and swiped it, leaving the tract behind.

I would suggest contacting both the seller and the post office, your parcel may have been tampered with (I knew a girl who sent a parcel, and it arrived empty, obviously opened). I’m with you, I doubt this would be something the seller would pull.

Just out of curiosity, what game and which tract?
