Allright I got my new TV tuner working on my laptop. Now I need the software to make the most of my new toy. Specifically I am looking for software that gives me the TV schedule for the next week or so and allows me to pick out shows I want to record.
There’s the free GB-PVR , which I’m going to try right after my BeyondTV trial expires. There’s also SageTV.
If you simply want to pick out TV shows to record without Tivo Like capabilities, there’s TitanVT.
If you get a hankering to put your card inside a stand-alone PC that drives your TV, Mythtv (http://www.mythtv.org) is super-cool.
