I got your feedback right here!

Not quite pit-worthy; more of an annoyance…

I ordered something a while ago from Amazon Marketplace (Vedant Gifts, to be exact), and yesterday I got a call on my cell phone asking how the transaction was. I guess if you don’t leave feedback, they track your communist ass down. So I gave them 2/5 stars and explained that the transaction went well, but they fucking called my cell begging for feedback.

They emailed me today asking if I’d remove the bad feedback in exchange for a $10 refund. Not bad, I suppose, but the whole point of feedback, IMHO, is to let people know how the transaction went, and I’d rather not be called in the first place, than be called and then offered $10 to remove my opinion. I wanted to go back and edit the feedback to reflect the email, but there’s no edit option. So I deleted it, assuming I’d be able to post a new feedback, but it looks like I assumed wrong.

So Vedant Gifts (I assume it was them; I doubt Amazon itself has time to fucking call people begging for feedback) called me and now I apparently have no way to warn others away from them. I emailed Amazon; I hope they’ll let me post new feedback.

Yes, I realize I’m being One Of Those People, but dammit, I hate when transactions get complicated. I give you money, you give me goods and/or services, and then we go our separate ways. I don’t want you to call me two months later begging for feedback. (I also breeze right by bag checkers at Best Buy and their ilk.)

I agree. I had a similar episode with an ebay buyer recently. I had to threaten to report her to ebay to get her to stop emailing me begging for feedback.

As you said: I give you money, you give me my goods. That is the end of the transaction.

They called you out of the blue on your cell phone?
That is totally creepy.
