I guess I have a kitty overnight guest

Nah, not really. He’s a big momma’s boy, and a total sweetheart - as long as he’s the only cat around. Other cats are kill or be killed mostly. He just can’t stand not being the only cat and will torture the other cat, or if he can’t, he’ll get upset and start peeing and spraying to mark his turf. As a single cat, he’s Mr. Cute & Gentle. His real name is Scooter. I just call him “Kittens” which is my generic name for most cats until another name comes to me.

Just by the looks of him I would say he is not a stray but a lost cat.

Did you place a found cat ad on Craigs list?

Good Luck finding his owners.

I worked (and work) at a gas station, and one night, the sweetest, most well-adjusted kitten appeared at our door. I let him in, and her curled up on our floor right next to me at the cash register. I took him home, and he lived outside on our property for a few years. He was like a dog - the most loyal, always-present cat I’ve ever seen. We named him Romeo. Sadly, I think the next-door neighbors may have caught him and sent him to the pound because he was killing their chickens.

Joe

No, I haven’t put up a found ad yet. I’ve got him listed with the Humane Society as found. If his owners are too stupid to call there, I don’t know.

Well, this is awkward. Scooter is outside, lost cat is outside, and grey vagrant asshole cat is outside. Haven’t seen her for a few days. All three of them are on the patio acting all sorts of iffy. But Scooter & lost cat seem to be teaming against asshole grey cat. Sort of. Gods, if lost cat can get along with Scooter I’m going to be stuck with two cats.

Scooter: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

And you had two cats the minute you let Lostcat stay overnight, dude. Enjoy!

Hey at least Lostcat is cute.

The SO doesn’t want to adopt it, so I’m hoping someone is looking for it before I get too attached.

Just an update for anyone mildly interested.

The SO said “we’re not adopting it.”

Then Piggy (his temp name) started hanging out with mommy on her couch while she watches TV, knits, etc.

The other night she said, “so, you want to adopt Piggy?”

Heh, heh. He won her over.

Last night Piggy started getting a bit playful, batting and playing with the draw strings on my sweatpants and the zipper on my sweater. Today, mom put down a toy mouse and Piggy & Scooter the evil cat started playing soccer together with it, and they tend to follow each other around.

Mom is sold. I think we have a new cat if no one responds to my Humane Society listing.

Scooter has never responded like this to another cat. He did pee on some stuff in the garage the other day, in his marking his territory way, but otherwise he seems to be enjoying having a brother.

That is *so *sweet. I’m glad it worked out. But we’ll be needing more pictures now!

Pictures! It’s the law!

i knew it, no one stands against cute cuddly kitten.

i wish you luck with your new family member.

I had a male cat like that. He made my yard & house, his house. But, I knew he was a charismatic mooch, and was hitting up the neighbors too. I was very tempted to put a collar on him I could attach notes to and start an anonymous pen pal relationship with whomever, via Cat Mail.
