I had a doctor's appointment this morning; my dog had a vet appointment this afternoon.

One of us has his cholesterol under control and got a prescription for Flonaise; the other has senile dementia, arthritis and a neurological condition in his hindquarters. If the steroid injection doesn’t lead to any improvement it may be time to consider euthanasia.

How did your dog get his cholesterol under control?

Your dog and mine may be closely related. I’m sorry to hear yours is not doing well. It is a very hard time.

Oh, Boi, I am sorry about your doggy. I have told on here before about my 20+ year old rat terrier. I was implored to put her to sleep many times by my vet. He accused me of being cruel and treating the dog for my own selfish needs. I refused, because she was happy til her last minute. She ate, she did her bathroom duties and was happy to see us everyday. She fell asleep in her chair one morning and never woke up. Best out come. Moral: make your own mind up, don’t be convinced by a vet or people who dont know your dog like you do. Good luck.

If you haven’t already considered this, ask your vet about Adequan. It’s an injection that many people swear has revitalized and reinvigorated arthritic dogs.

I am very sorry about your dog.

Good news; the injection (along with the warmer weather) seems to be helping.

That is good news! Yay!!
