I had so much fun on Friday night !

I’ve been under so much stress lately, it’s even been difficult to get up in the mornings.

On Friday night, I finally got a break. Me and Kimmom2 went to NYC to a concert.

It might not sound really exciting to some of you, but I’ve never been to the city. I was as excited as a little girl. I was nearly bouncing around.

We took the ferry and even though it was freezing cold, we stayed up on the top, that was cool. I saw a buliding that had something like a pyramid on top. Anyone know what that was ? Being the moran that I am, it took me a while to figure out that the building with the point and the green lights was the Empire State Building. Why was it green ?

After that we took a bus. Then we walked a while. We saw some pretty weird people, one guy was walking around and talking to himself about killing someone. We had Starbucks coffee, that was really good. We ate dinner a a place called O’Hurleys.

Right after that we went to the Beacon Theatre and saw Duncan Sheik. He was opening for Ben Folds. I’m not a fan of Ben Folds, so we left after Duncan. We got to meet him and he signed my T-shirt. He was a really nice guy, he even hugged me !

We took a cab back to the ferry, that wasn’t as fun as I had hoped, then we went home.

I’ve been in a good mood ever since.

NYC really is intoxicating, isn’t it? As much as I now love living in Philly, there are a lot of times I miss being in New York.

You’ve never been to the city, and you took a ferry getting here?

Where the heck are you?

Staten Island???

No, I’m in PA. Kim and I took a ferry from Weehawaken, I think. She’s been ther and knew where to go.

The building “with the pyramid on top” was almost certainly Worldwide Plaza near Times Square.

My first guess on the ESB’s color was that it was kelly green for The Jets. I looked it up and it was green for The March of Dimes.
