Driving it is. I’ve had some people tell my the drive will be as long as 8 hours, although I couldn’t see how when Atlanta is 12. You never know though, traffic can be crazy.
I was hoping I could take a friend but we aren’t staying in a hotel, the company has a few beach houses with private beds and baths, but we will all be sharing the communal areas.
I’m a little nervous, I don’t know any of these people other than to talk on the phone. I’m sure it will be fun though.
Roundabout BWI to Norfolk? I don’t know why anyone would even consider flying. When you take into account the 1/2 hour(at least!) getting to and from the airport, arriving more than 1/2 hour early, the 1/2 hour expected delay, the flight of about an hour, and the 1/2 hour (at least!) going through lines and navigation at the airport itself, you have a 3 hour time, minimum, more like 3 1/2 because I underestimated some of those times. And that’s assuming there are no abnormal delays and the flight times are convenient.
I personally don’t even think about flying unless it’s over 800 miles away. I would love flying if I could just park and walk onto the plane into a window seat. I love looking down at the ground from up high. But airports are stifling to me and you have a lack of control over your transportation and have to hurry up and wait.
