I have a new favorite album title!

It’s “Weasels Ripped My Flesh,” by Frank Zappa. (1970)

Anyone know a title by any artist that can top this one?

I have never even heard the album, but I was always amused by the album by Joe Ely called Musta Notta Gotta Lotta

Well, it’s not really ONE album title. But… Lambchop just released two albums simultaneously:
1)Aw, C’mon
2)No, You C’mon.

‘Trouser jazz’ - Mr Scruff
‘Music is rotted one note’ - Squarepusher
‘All I know is that it isn’t a vacuum cleaner’ - Spunk
‘Ship arriving too late to save a drowning witch’ - Zappa
‘I am not a doctor’ - Moloko

And if we allow song titles, then Archie Shepp’s ‘Rufus swung his face at last to the wind, then his neck snapped’ would take some beating.

Emergency Third Rail Power Trip by Lawsuit.

Not quite valid, but the CD called “Music for Scattered Brains” has the title printed across front and back of the CD case, so the front just reads
“Music for Scat”

I don’t think anything quite beats Big Black’s Songs about Fucking.

I bought a vinyl album not long ago just for the title alone:

Bongo! Bongo! Bongo!

I doesn’t get much more 60’s than that, man.

(The music is substandard, but the cover, is sweet.)

One of my favorites is Shivaree’s *I Oughtta Give You a Shot in the Head for Making Me Live in This Dump *

One more album you can’t buy at Wal-Mart. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have an album just like that, but it’s called Like, Bongos. I have it framed:)

“You Broke My Heart So I Busted Your Jaw” by Spooky Tooth
“You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can’t Tuna Fish” by REO Speedwagon
“The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get” by Joe Walsh
“Lick My Decals Off, Baby” by Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band
“Martin Mull and his Fabulous Furniture Live in Your Living Room” and “Days of Wine and Neuroses” by Martin Mull
“First Pull Up, then Pull Down” by Hot Tuna (usually dubbed “Electric Hot Tuna Recorded Live,” but “First Pull Up . . .” was the name on the spine)
“More Songs About Buildings and Food,” by the Talking Heads.

And, of course:

“See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang, Yeah, City All Over! Go Ape Crazy!” by Bow Wow Wow

I like these 2: Flight of the Cosmic Hippo and UFO Tofu by Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, by The Flaming Lips.

Also, best album cover ever:

Peace and Love, by The Pogues. If you can’t tell why,

Look at his fingers.

Sheik Yerbouti Frank Zappa
He Who First Smelt It Dealt It Caravan
Girls That Grow Plump In The Night Caravan

Got Any Gum? Joe Walsh

I Like It When You Die by Anal Cunt.

“Smell the Glove” by Spinal Tap

I always liked:
*Up the Downstair * by Porcupine Tree
*Live Ethereal Cereal * by Ozric Tentacles
*You (Radio Gnome Invisible Part 3) * by Gong

I’ve always thought the best match between cover art and album title was Pantera’s Vulgar Display of Power.
