This is probably an old wives tale that won’t be effective, but whenever I got a stye as a kid, my mother would rub her gold wedding ring on it. No idea what it’s supposed to acheive or whether it is effective (I’m sure its not), but it can’t hurt.
With a nasty stye, it can take 2-3 days to clear up using the warm compress route . But it will work if you’re persistent. Keep at it; I just got rid of one a couple weeks ago that way. Even a brief trip to the bathroom every couple of hours to hold a wet paper towel over your eye for 2-3 minutes is better than nothing while you’re at work; who’s going to time you when they think you’re doing your business?
I have epsom salt paste. I am considering putting it in my eye.
