I have an agendum in this hand...

Thought of hijacking the other plural thread but decided against it.

I have an agendum in my left hand, and an agendum in my right, each for different meetings. What am I carrying? Can it be made clear that whilst I am carrying agenda, neither of them is an agenda?

Sorry picmr, I looked, but couln’t find a single data on this one.

An agendum is a thing to be done, both in English and in Latin. In English, an agenda is a list of things to do. Although agenda is the Latin plural of agendum, in English agenda is generally considered to be a singular noun with the plural agendas.

So an “agendum” would be something like “Discuss why nothing ever gets done around here” or “Schedule more meetings to get to the bottom of this”.
