I have eleven fans. How about you?

One on my graphics card. One on the back of my computer, one on the front. One over my CPU. One in the PSU. Three little ones over the memory. Two in my laptop. One on my desk.
You thought I meant fanatics didn’t you

I have two stand-up, room fans, a large desk fan, a smaller desk fan, and two window fans. We don’t have air-conditioning in our house (for the one month of the year we might need it).

Just the one on my laptop. It blows hot air on my tube of chapstick, keeping it nice and warm.

This thread really blows.

You sure took the wind out of his sails.

Lessee… in my apartment there are 2 fans* in my desktop computer. 2 in my laptop. One large one standing on the floor. One in my hair dryer. One, possibly 2, in my vaccuum cleaner. One in the microwave. And a window fan stored under the sink. I think that’s about it.

Oh no, not this again. We’ll be going around in circles all afternoon.

[sub]*I’m including any rotary device that propels air, whether it’s out in the open or in a tube or what.[/sub]

Let’s see… I think I have eleven fans just inside my main desktop PC alone. One 120mm fan in the front by the drive cage, another 120mm fan in the rear below the power supply, yet another 120mm fan venting at the top, four 120mm intake fans mounted in the side door, a 90mm fan in the CPU cooler, a 60mm fan over the northbridge chipset, one more fan in the graphics card, and finally the PSU fan.

I think there’s room to mount a couple more. :stuck_out_tongue:

The notebooks lying around add another five fans total, and the lesser desktops contribute five, four, and four fans respectively. Then there are two box fans, a squirrelcage fan, and two air conditioning units to help keep the place cool during the summer. And, now that I think of it, the microwave, the stovetop ventilator, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, and probably many other appliances I’m forgetting. Oh, and the ventilation fan in my helmet.

Before reading this thread, I had never really stopped and thought about just how many roles rotary air-shovers play in our daily lives. The mind reels!

Now, now, a little punnery is nothing to be so breezy about. Fan puns don’t always blow. Some of them just suck.

Hey, it’s a fan club!

Yeah! And when you flip a switch the blades turn and circulate air!

I think maybe I don’t have this ‘pun’ thing all figured out.

That’s only when they stop working. And you still have to tie them to sticks.

42 that I can think of. Doesn’t anybody have a fan in their car engine and another for the heater? Air conditioners? A microwave with a fan? A bathroom fan? Ceiling fans? Range hood fan?

You are all doomed. With that many fans I’m amazed you’re still alive.

Not all of mine work properly. I think I need some fanservice.

One of my fans is sick. I turn my computer on and BVVVVVVVVVVDVDVDVDVDVDVVV for about 30 seconds.

I have fans in my car but I have absolutely no idea how many of them there are.

I had a car in which the AC fan got clogged up with a dead mouse. He probably wasn’t dead until I turned on the AC, however. This was in JULY and I had to drive around with my head out of the window for a week.

I misread the title as “Elven Fans” and was going to ask how you got those little fuckers to enjoy your graphics work enough to be called fans in the first place. They are incredibly fickle.

Oh, wow, someone else who’s had that happen. Except mine was a rat. It was alive until I turned the AC on. Skitter-skitter-thud. They didn’t believe me when I told them there was something dead in there, until they actually sat in the car and turned it on. The mechanic said he’d do it right away - mid-July in Dallas means the longer you wait, the nastier it gets.

I have no idea how many fans I have, but one of the ones in my computer is very loud and annoying.

We’ll never let our guards down.

i just watched DeNiro and Snipes “The Fan” 11 times… i hasn’t gotten any better…
