I found that burying the pill in a nice wad of margarine worked well for my girl. Of course, that ended up with the ritual from then on that whenever I made toast, she waited patiently to lick a wad of margarine off my finger. I had to keep the margarine tub properly segregated so that there was no garlic in what she got.
I don’t know, I got mine as a gift. 
Giving the dog a pill is not problem. I put it in a small spoon of peanut butter and it’s gone instantly
When medicating cats, I seem to have better luck with liquids.

Here’s my chonk Summer. She really let herself go after she discovered indoor living. 
Actually, she’s really not as large as she looks here. Most of that is just her dangling fluffy belly.
Is she a leaper? Loose skin in the belly area is typical of leapers. My little girl could do 7’ to my window. She had that loose skin down there.
Summer is at least 10 years old so she doesn’t leap so much anymore. She used to get on the dining room table to look out the window but hasn’t done that in a while now. I assumed her saggy belly developed because she had an unknown number of litters before I got her seven years ago. This is her right before I brought her in. She was living in the woods near my workplace and was raising two kittens. She’s definitely chonked up!
I had a cat I could pill one-handed.
I’ve seen that belly flap develop in a number of older cats, including females spayed as kittens who never carried a litter.
Are you sure that’s a house cat and not a new species of wild cat? He looks like he’s two feet tall! What did it take to get that head gear on him?
Lucky you. Every cat I had to pill could tell from a mile away that there was a pill coming towards them, no matter what I tried to hide it in.
our chonk died when he was 3…he had breathing problems we didn’t know about and the vet thought his lungs were underdeveloped … his sister does also but shes just big …
The Darth Boris picture is all perspective. He was about 10 pounds then. All I know is that the dermatologist said she wanted to put a muzzle on him and the next thing I knew he was Darth Boris.
