It’s been a long road, but I finally hit my goal of 175 this morning! Started at 271 about a year a 2-3 months ago. 96 lbs gone!
GOOD JOB :D:D:D:D:D
What did you do to loose the weight?
Wow, that’s awesome. Congrats.
I’m close to my goal too, but it’s taking me weeks to even lose a pound. I need to get motivated again.
Way to go!
Thanks all!
All I did was reduce the amount I ate, ate a bit healthier and cut back on the beer. That’s all!
Trust me, I know what you mean. It took me about 2 months to go from 185 to 175. The last few have taken forever! Don’t give up!
Wow, the BBC just put out an article which states the weight loss is almost exclusively diet and very little from exercise. I’ll find the link an make a separate thread in case you are interested to read it…
Congratulations on a job well done! What you’ve done is very difficult indeed. You should feel righteously proud.
Whatever challenges life holds for you in future, you will always be able to look back at this Herculean achievement for strength. Never forget. You MADE this happen. You, no one else!
I would humbly suggest you treat yourself to a new outfit! I don’t care how it looks, or what it costs, just so long as it makes you feel fabulous! You soooo deserve it!
Again, sincerest congratulations!
Well done!
My parents already took me out a couple weeks ago and bought me a lot of new clothes! I really liked that, as I was wearing 38" pants and ended up going to a 34".
The total loss in the clothes department was:
42" waist down to 34"
XXL shirt down to L
What an awesome loss, congratulations!
Well done!
***CONGRATULATIONS!!! ***
That’s an amazing achievement! You should be very happy with this. So many people never do it.
I know what it’s like. I lost 50# over the course of 15 months by making comparatively small changes to my diet. I called it the “eat less crap diet”.
This year my goal is to lose another 50# by making additional changes.
I’ll revisit this thread for inspiration.
ETA: Orionizer, you lost 96 pounds…that was what my grandmother weighed in her 20s! You lost a PERSON!
Congratulations!
It’s cool that you did it without doing a bunch of exercise. I found out I couldn’t keep on the “eat healthier, eat less” track unless I was also going to the gym. My mind needs the total package, so to speak. So it’s an even greater achievement to me that you did it through a healthier diet alone.
Excellent!!! How do you plan to maintain?
Studies like this concern me. I hope people don’t think it means exercise does not have a part in your life. Exercise builds strong muscles and bones and can improve flexibility and endurance. You won’t get that eating low-fat yogurt and watching TV.
Congrats! 96 lbs. in 15 months, that’s 1.6 lbs. a week if my math is right. Pretty good pace to keep up for over a year. Nice job!
I started at 215 at the start of this year and my goal was to lose 2 lbs. a week to get to 170 by early June. I’ve been losing weight but only about 1 lb. a week. I have to accept the fact I’m not going to reach my goal by then unless I go on a near-starvation diet and start to run marathons :dubious:
1-2 pounds a week is fine. You’ll get there…just don’t stop!
Good on you.
Due to a fat finger error, my fitbit thinks I have 995 pounds to go. I don’t think I’ll make it.
All without the drama about how really really hard it is? Inconceivable!
Congratulations, Orionizer. Truly well done.
