I just did a radio interview for a Saskatchewan radio station on an old staff report.

Colibri, I’m sorry I missed it. CBC is my first and default radio choice, but I very seldom have the opportunity to listen during the day.

1- The term “A veritable vegetable Chernobyl” will be worked into my conversations at some point this week. Love that.

2- Well done, and congratulations! Radio: one step closer to taking over the world, Doper Style.

I just searched the website but didn’t find the interview. I’ll check again tomorrow. Congratulations Colibri!

As linked to by Gorsnak, it shoud be on Blue Sky sometime tomorrow.

  • SD, “(and we perceive this (sic Pain) in parts of the body that clearly have no taste buds, to wit, the sphincter)”

Excepting, I’ve always thought the burns going in, burns coming out bit was a bit of an exaggeration. I’ve never found this to be true… I eat lots of chile but, I’ve never fallen into this so called burning ring of fire. Is this an urban legend and overstated?

What happens to capsaicin during the human digestive process?

Dang! All the years of seeing you around the Dope and I didn’t know you were a man! Unless your parents named you after George Sand, I’m going to have to wrap my mind around a whole new mental image of you.

Congrats on being on the radio. That’s pretty cool!

Either you’re not eating enough chile, the chile you’re eating isn’t hot enough, or your sphincter is made from a bird’s throat. In general, I eat five or more jalapeños with every meal, and I can assure you that it most certainly does burn when coming out. You get used to it, but it’s still there. More than worth it, though, for some good, hot peppers.

Let me chime in that although at home in Canada it’s not most people’s first choice, it’s always on my Sirius and those of hundreds of other ex-pats.
