Awesome. Can you help a brother out?
Well this sucks. Up until I read this I was quite happy about finding $15.00 in my shirt pocket about an hour ago.
Hmmmmppppffff, Thanks man.
You may have found 1400 dollars, but I just found 1400 tacos. What’s more, I did find them on the side of the road. In a ditch, in fact. I don’t know what they were doing there, but, man, when whoever puts them there comes back, he sure will be disappointed when he finds out all his ditch tacos are gone.
I would respectfully submit that if you can lose, then find, $1400, you probably have too much money and should seriously consider Paypalling some of it over here.
Never found that much, congratulations! (Or something. What’s appropriate in this situation?)
But once, after I’d gone back to work after the C-section birth of my second child, I was giving the kitchen a thorough cleaning, and found one of my disability checks (that’s how my C-section leave was paid; through disability) under the microwave! It was not a lot of money, about $200.00, if memory serves. But nice to find.
I thought of it as getting paid 200 bucks to clean the kitchen!
You just made me laugh myself into a headache.
Wow, I just misread that badly enough to imagine a doctor pulling out a sack of $200 along with a baby during a C-section delivery…
I’m gonna go sleep now. Have fun with the money, OP.
Congratulations!!
I’m sure this is some sort of joke, but I don’t understand it. Probably some American expression unfamiliar to us Brits. Explain, please.
Nothing to explain, it’s just random silliness.
Ditch tacos?
Band name?
I hear they’re opening for Napkin Sandwiches.
Are you experiencing any other strange memories coming back to you? Like you know how to snap a person’s neck in one move, but don’t understand why? Passports in that bag with your picture but different names?
OMG!11!!! The OP thinks he’s a walrus, but he’s really Jason Bourne!
My first thought was $1400? Chump change compared to the $170K that other guy won.
FWIW, when the weather starts seriously warming up in the spring, I will often tuck a $10 or a $20 in a jacket or coat pocket to pleasantly surprise myself with in the fall!
Yeah, but if I did something like that on purpose, I’d remember that I did it and it wouldn’t be as fun. Still nice, but not found money nice.
Obviously, your long-term memory is better than mine!
Actually, I start getting cold when the temp drops below, oh, 70 degrees. So I have a bunch of sweaters, hoodies, coats, jackets, etc. (In fact, my latest thrift-store score is a London Fog topcoat with zip-out winter lining, for four bucks! And just a size too big, so I can bundle a sweat shirt or something under it. . .)
So I never know, in the winter, what I’m going to find in the pockets, and how much.
It’s not exactly like ‘found money’, but it’s still like pennies from heaven, and it makes my day a little brighter.
Me too. “Ditch tacos” cracked me the hell up for some reason.
Earlier this year I randomly received about $800 from my previous employer. It was some sort of employee compensation thingy that was never paid out becuase it was held up in some kind of legal dispute. I’d completely forgotten about it.
