I don’t know if any of you know who Scot Morris is, but I just had lunch with him. He happens to be the author of “The Omni Book of Games” and “The Emperor who ate the bible” and was the games columnist for Omni Magazine. He is also the brother of one of our career guidance counselors here at the Van Buren Technology Center. What a neat person. We gabbed about all sorts of stuff. I found out that he knows quite a few famous magicians and that Martin Gardner was his mentor. What a fun time.
I used to love Omni. They don’t publish that anymore, do they?
Once, when I was in elementary school, I came in second place in a spelling bee. Jodi Kurz, the winner, got a punk-ass dictionary for a prize, but I got a cool compilation of Omni games! Yay for me!
