…will live to see the year 2100.
And I remember thinking 1984 sounded futuristic.

I had a similar thought in 6th grade. OMG I may see the 21 century! That was in 1973. It seemed unbelievable at 12 that I’d live so long.
But, here I am. Wrinkled and feeling rather old at 50.
Sure beats the alternative of rotting in the ground.
So will many adults. I’ll be 120 if I lived that long, which I probably won’t, but someone a few years younger than me, with all the advancements in medicine we’ll see in the next century, will have a pretty good shot at 100-110.
In the year 2100, I will be 137.
(Hey, if Bilbo can do it…)
All I can say is: I hope so.
Babies, hell. I plan to live to 120, minimum. Should be about right.
Prediction: In the year 2100, music will still sound pretty much like it did in the '90s.
My nephew, born in 1994, could live to see three different centuries, and two millennia.
My grandmother(his great grandmother) lived almost to 108, so it could happen.
But it will be ironically. Post-post-post-ironical.
The year 2100 is just a number. Now, living to see April 5, 2063, that will be something.
Or October 21, 2015.
Oh. Wait …
…ain’t gonna need your teeth, won’t need your eyes…
mmm
Look me up. Maybe I’ll give you a ride. ![]()
. . . and many people who will vote in the next presidential election will not remember Y2K.
Don’t close the book yet on 1984. 2084 will resemble the Orwellian dystopia more closely than anything we have seen yet.
