I hate those fucking Shriners, St. Jude and Wounded Warrior commercials!! Every fucking time there is a commercial break, you are guaranteed to see one or all of them before the program continues. Here is what Charity Navigator has to say about Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. I’m guessing you probably might need that “bwanket”.

I see the assets are listed as in excess of 7 billion dollars – but that would include the value of their hospitals, land, buildings, and contents, so that’s nowhere near as excessive as it seems. Presumably they also have a portfolio of investments to generate income for their programs and to fund pension expenses.
