He’s Canadian. Probably needs 10 red to one pale blue for the correct hue.
And some white ones; Canada has lots of white in it. Especially in winter, although then it’s often too dark to see what color it is out there.

Calling them “rabbit shaped” seems tautological
…for now.
Sorry, I can’t stick around today, going shopping for flags with 51 stars on 'em to beat the rush!
You’ll have to take that up with Johann Friedrich von Brandt
By the time those are available for real, the red & white stripes will be different colors and have a name overprinted in large block letters. Mark my words.
So one of the preliminary designs like the current real flag with just one extra star will be collectors’ items. Kind of like this model of the “stealth fighter”:
IIRC when it first came out they were labeled as being the real thing, not an “artist’s conception” thing.
You forgot so soon…what about Greenland?
Better do 52 stars. Just in case.
is it too soon?
And Panamá.
Based on a rigorous analysis of the insults uttered by Yosemite Sam, it would seem that “galoot” dominates the corpus. But that’s just a statistic. “Long-eared varmint” is what resonates in my mind.
I feel like the lumpers and the splitters have gone back and forth in my lifetime on whether rabbits are a type of rodent, or their own thing.
Well, they were considered rodents, then considered to be unrelated, and now considered to be an offshoot of the same clade as rodents
(From Wikipedia)
Although once considered rodents, lagomorphs diverged earlier and have a number of traits rodents lack, including two extra incisors. Similarities between rabbits and rodents were once attributed to convergent evolution, but studies in molecular biology have found a common ancestor between lagomorphs and rodents and place them in the clade Glires.
…
Rabbits and hares were formerly classified in the order Rodentia (rodents) until 1912, when they were moved into the order Lagomorpha (which also includes pikas). Since 1945, there has been support for the clade Glires that includes both rodents and lagomorphs,[13] though the two groups have always been closely associated in taxonomy; fossil,[14] DNA,[15] and retrotransposon[16] studies in the 2000s have solidified support for the clade. Studies in paleontology and molecular biology suggest that rodents and lagomorphs diverged at the start of the Tertiary.[17]
And this points out that popular classification lags scientific classification:

Do you know that there are many species of rabbits in the world? This article talks about the difference between rabbits and rodents.

Oh come on! That page says “Guinea pigs are great pets”, “beavers are extremely cute”, but “rats are known to spread diseases”?!? More anti-rat prejudice!
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don’t do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she’s ten feet tall…
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you’re going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call…

If it comes to pass, I figure I’ll honor the spirit of the occasion by stealing a star from somebody else’s flag and attaching it to mine.

Calling beavers cute and suggesting they are soft and cuddly seemed pretty odd.
Hey, @Northern_Piper , how does reality look today?
Much the same as normal. I guess they cancelled each other out.

I’m sorry to admit this but mice, rats, rabbits, and guineas… well for herps and snake owners like myself, they’re all snacks rather than individually cute. Though none of my snakes eat anything larger than rats.
My general consensus is I’d rather not have snakes or rats & mice in my vicinity.
But I kept a Possum. So, I’ve lost credibility. Up front. ![]()

Just watch out for bottles labeled “drink me”.
OTOH that’s probably just Crown Royal.

DC and Puerto Rico have already produced truckloads of the National Archives- approved design for USA51, for years if not decades. They’ll flood the market out of spite.
