Shop around for websites. Matching a name to an address is usually one of the preview options they offer before asking you to pay for more advanced information.
Well, you can rest comfortable knowing that if his phone number is unlisted then a physical copy of the white pages (at home or at the library wouldn’t have helped you). So modern technology has actually improved the situation as you can now easily pay a fee to get it rather than whatever would have been necessary in 1986.
Goddammit! I just spent $13 to get an address that’s 5 years old!
I’m fucking stupid. There are idenity theives crawling around with all sorts of information and I can’t locate one asshole.
Years ago, in a post 9/11 “lets make this work” haze, my ex and I bought a car. When we divorced, ex was lobbying the court for alimony. I suggested that instead of paying alimony, I’d take the car and its payments. (Supporting his ass may have been cheaper. We bought the car new, but Ex is rough on vehicles. When I looked it over the car was filthy inside and out, the tires were bald, the brakes were gone, it was a thousand miles overdue for an oil change and he was two months behind on the payments. It also has a transmission problem. Fixing it would cost more that the car is worth. To make things worse, I had to get a couple of cops to help me get it from him. ) I finally paid off the loan on this fucking lemon and I want to drop Ex from the title. I can either get him to sign off on this or I have to get the court to sign off for him.
Otherwise, I’m doing much better. My last day of work is the end of August. There is nothing to do, so I’ve been catching up on personal stuff (like this Ex Odyssey).
My next Pit thread may be “Its a birth not a spectator sport!” Since some friends and family are upset that I don’t want them around when I’m in labor. Nope, just me, Mouse_Spouse and the OB people. I feel like everybody in the fucking county has poked or proded me, I’d like some privacy while grunting a pup into the world.
I almost started the same damn thread. I got so angry when my wife was laying in bed, during labor, and there were way too many people in the room. I was just so angry about it after our whole ordeal, since when her family showed up they were there, and one was sleeping on the couch, the other two hanging out walking around talking, but serious, at one point there were 15 fucking people in the room. This counted me and her, but not any doctors or nurses. Serious, it would be okay if they were there to be around her, but they were watching the news and sitting around looking at pictures. She had asked them to leave several times, mostly because she needed sleep (had been up for a very long time before labor started)…
Be adamant about what you want, Mouse, because family thinks that they need to be there. When it came time for Dylan to be born, we got them out for about 30 minutes before-hand and an hour after, but still…
