I know it's hype, but whatever happened to The Amityville Horror house??

Kinsey, Rasta…

The link has some good reasons:
Quote:

“The Lutzes were apparently unhappy about living in a house after all those murders had been committed. They decided to abandon it and go live with a relative for a while to think about their situation. The relative suggested to them that they could expand on their “bad feelings” and make it into a really good ghost story.” “…Other professional investigators noticed by accident that the Lutzes were holding contracts for book and movie deals. Everyone became suspicious of the Lutzes and their horror stories.” “…Weber (Different author) still wanted to write his book on the murders but the Lutzes beat him to it with their own book.”

Pretty much answers it for me.

By the by . .whatever DID happen to the Lutz family? Where are they now?

Yeah, but wouldn’t they have gotten money for selling the story to the author?

I know it is off the topic, but a few years back a couple in Westchester (NY) were able to back out of a P&S agreement (and got their money back) on a house. It seems the house was haunted, and the sellar did not inform the buyers about this!
I don’t know what kind of idiot this judge was, but by virtue of his decision, there is now a precedent for buyers to get out of all kinds of contracts-just say the house/car/whatever is haunted!
