I Know What Husqvarna Means.

Husqvarna means " Hey, let’s screw with Toon’s brain and maladjust the bobbin tension in the MIDDLE OF A LONG STITCH so he can quietly go insane" in Swedish.

That is all. Carry on.

Hey…I thought that was what Singer meant!

I have all these places in my curtains where I ripped the stitches out and tried again, and again, and still left with those annoying loops on the bottom. I swear one of these days I am going to sell my car and buy a real sewing machine.

-sob-

At least I’m not alone in my…loopyness.

You must be loopy, if you’re trying to sew with a motorcycle!

:stuck_out_tongue:

It’s not a motorcycle Toon’s sewing with, silly.

It’s a chainsaw.

I can see how that wouldn’t work so well, though.

I thought Husqvarna was an ancient Scandinavian god of sustained loud noise.

The Husqy motorcycles were special, because, on weekdays, you can earn pocket money rototilling gardens. :stuck_out_tongue:

No, Husqvarna is Swedish for “insanely complicated piece of machinery with features that looked cool on that public-TV sewing program, but that you yourself will never use in a million years”.

Which is why I don’t sew.

Robin

My sewing machine can apparently sew button holes, zippers, embroider, applique, darn and monogram.

So far I’ve used it to patch clothes. I keep meaning to make things but I never get around to it, so I have cloth and patterns just waiting for me to do something with them.

My new project is to make curtains.

I didn’t know they made sewing machines and motorcycles. My Husqvarna chain saw is the best one I’ve ever owned. (I’ve owned about 15 different saws)

Nobody’s caught onto the true devil spawn of Husqvarna?

SERGERS!

Anyone who thinks a Husqvarna Viking sewing machine is a complicated little bugger hasn’t tangled (pun firmly intended!) with a serger / overlock machine.

Au contraire Sergers, a gift from the gods, have descended from Olympus, sent by Clotho herself[she of Fates fame] Keep that manual handy, and you’ll change your tune after awhile.

I never know they made all that crap. I’d heard of them as gun makers.
