Not really locked out of the house, but…
Got home, and parents wern’t there. Called to see if they went to dinner, and wanted me to join them (the usual reason they are not there). Found they went to the store, and will be back in a little while. Decided to go for my nightly walk while waiting for them. Change into my shorts, and head out. Locking the door behind me because nobody is home. Finish my walk, and come up to the front door. Realize I left my keys on the computer desk. Go sit on the tailgate of my truck for 15 minutes waiting for them to get home. About then I realize that parked next to my truck is my dads truck, and it was there when I walked up. Went back up, and sure enough the front door was unlocked.
Also while driving to work I ran over something. Pulled over on a side street to check for a flat, and left the engine running. Got out, and automatically hit the lock button that locks all the doors. Swung it closed, and realized what I did. Missed the door handle by a hair. Walked the rest of the way to work where I called my mom. Let her know what I did. She was an hour away, and could not leave right away. Car sat for more than 90 minutes running till my mom got there to unlock it.
