I lost my cell phone in a cab

I have a friend who always uses the meter in a cab and always asks for a reciept. And in this country the majority of cabbies don’t like to use the meter. When I asked him why he was so strict about this, he said that he once lost his wallet in a cab. With a receipt, you always have the phone number of at least the cab company (the name of which you otherwise are unlikely to remember) and maybe even the name of the cabbie, cab number, etc. Takes a bit of time, but I suppose it could pay off some day…

You’re on to me. I’m planning on using that post as a reference when I apply to PepsiCo (Hope they don’t have a thing about well grammar).

Since I’m back for a minute, and my obnoxiously long post apparently drowned out any relevant points I may have had, I should probably restate the biggest issue facing you right now-- a bunch of charges on your account when you get you’re next bill.

A similar type incident happened to me (Want me to tell you? Huh, huh?) and if I learned anything in that experience, it was that being pro-active in these situations pays off in the end.

Again, if you haven’t done so already, contact your carrier and see whether there were calls made when your phone went missing. If there were, it’s ten times easier to get the carrier to drop those charges now, instead of later, when it shows up on the bill.

In my case, based on a hunch, calling them confirmed there were extra calls that I didn’t make, and in the end the carrier ate the costs.

Just something to keep in mind.
