No, I don’t really like the song (but will concede it does have a hook) nor have I every met the woman. I just think what’s fair is fair. I mean if past rulings have said:
”My Sweet Lord” (by George Harrison) was lifted from The Chiffons ”He’s So Fine, or
”Bittersweet Symphony” (by Verve) was lifted from The Rolling Stones ”The Last Time”
Then why in the world is Milky collecting royalties for her pop/dance song:
Instead of them forking over the money to Paul McCartney for his song:
“Listen To What The Man Said”? (All links are Real Player Samples)
I hear more of a similarity in Milky’s song then I do in either of the Verve or Harrison songs listed above. I’m not calling for the legal profession to start hunting out music plagiarism, just that what’s good for the goose is good for the gander….especially in a case where the similarities are more than obvious.
