Quadraplegics have lost control of four body regions, the two arms and the two legs. Pentaplegics have lost control of a fifth, the torso, and so can’t breathe.

Jeez, Cisco. I have been following this thread, hoping against hope. But trust me- you guys being there helped. Imagine if that poor woman had been there alone with him.

i agree with what ejsgirl said. i’m glad y’all were there with him and his wife. i’m sure you being there and doing what you could (and following up) is a comfort for her.
If it makes anyone feel better, I’d rather go like that, than rot away from cancer.
Yeah, even if it sounds a little weird to say this, his wife may be devastated but on the other hand, the man probably didn’t suffer much.
So sorry it ended this way, Cisco. I lost a colleague a couple of years ago under similar circumstances… except in his case, he was driving a car instead of riding a bike. It sucks, but as far as the options go, at least he was having fun and enjoying life almost to the very end.
I agree with this. You provided her with some support and at least knowing she wasn’t utterly alone out there.
