I miss hockey

I just miss it. I miss my Canadians (yeah yeah I know they suck) but still they are my Canadians…

That’s it I just miss it never thought I would but dang…

Oh yeah. Come on you guys, just settle and drop the puck already.

Alex Ovechkin a rare specimen of speed and strength and skill is in the second lockout of his career. What a waste.

Sign the deal already you f’ing hosers.

I miss my Blackhawks. Drop the damn puck!!

I miss hockey too. Even the stupid Sharks. Just sign and start skatin’ already.

I’m still on my Stanley Cup high with the Kings…not missing it much…yet.

If they never settle…do the Kings keep the Cup (that particular one) until they are allowed to defend it?
If so, I’m cool with that.

I was only just starting to get back into having a damn team!

C’mon Jets!

On the plus side, we haven’t seen one “What’s Wrong With Ovechkin?” article so far this would-be season.

It’s my favorite of the top four sports. Overtime playoff hockey is a must see, nay, a REQUIREMENT to see to claim yourself human.

Let’s all meet at Bettman’s front yard with our team jerseys and Jason-style goaltender masks. Fuck that shithead. Bettman, I mean. Not Jason. He has knives.

Since there is a Game Forum, I’m going to move this there.

sigh Me too. Just last night I went to my local sports bar (and favorite bar generally). It’s this sweet little divey hole in the wall that always has game sound on, and serves beer only–they’re on this street in the East Village that, due to an One Weird Old City Ordinance, is illegal to serve hard liquor on.

Anyway, I went there just to have a couple beers, figuring that since there was no football on, it would be fairly quiet and I could either chat with the bartender/regulars or just read my book. I get there, and it’s busy for a Tuesday. I’d forgotten about basketball–one of the sports I dislike. (It shares this distinction with cricket and American football.) I guess the Knicks were playing the Nets or something. Normally, the thing to do in this circumstance would be to watch whatever other sporting event is on–like, say, HOCKEY. But no hockey. So there I sat, trying to enjoy my beer in peace and read my book and not twitch too much every time the place bursts out into cheers for some weird basketball related reason…

I need to start researching the KHL broadcast schedule over here, so that I can demand they devote one screen to SKA St. Petersburg or whatever.

LawMonkey

That’s exactly what I wanted to do last night but… no hockey :frowning:

I felt so empty!!!

I think you meant Canadiens, unless you miss all the Canadians playing for various teams throughout the NHL.
On the plus side, the Leafs have yet to lose a game this year.

Yes you are right Leaffan Les Canadiens… the Habs  Though I do miss some of the Canadians playing throughout the league

The journal de Montréal is running out of front pages without hockey

Caps have had hockey movies on the big screen, free skate sessions and an AHL game. The first two were “free” for season ticket holders. They are even giving away the season ticket holder gift. This year it is a nice quality backpack.

Are the other teams trying keep fan interest in similar ways? I would guess that the further north (within reasn) you get the more options you have with minor and armature hockey.

I’m reduced to watch Moscow Dynamo highlights on YouTube. Ovie and Backstrom have both had hat tricks.

I like this! I’ll share it with another local sports fan who is also originally from the GTA. He’ll get a kick out of it!

I think you meant “this season.” The Leafs have lost many games this year.

I WANT MY PENS BACK!!!
There was an article in the local paper today about how some businesses around here are really hurting because of the lockout. Consol Energy Center even had to lay some people off.

FUCK YOU SIDEWAYS WITH A BROKEN HOCKEY STICK, BETTMAN!!!

Isn’t that an automatic 2 minute penalty; fucking sideways with a broken stick?

Couldn’t have said it better.
Just so you know, you’re my new internet crush.
