Wait, am I missing something? If lots of people choose “toaster,” then doesn’t everyone get fewer points for it? That is, 100 divided by 28 is a lot less than 100 divided by 3.

No – the more people who chose it, the more it’s worth. On a game with 50 people, each answer is worth two points per person (more than one) who chose it. ALL answers per question are divided by 100, not each individual answer. (If 7 people say coffeemaker, coffeemaker is worth 14 points (100 pts. divided by 50 for number of people who played = 2 points per person who said it, x 7 for number o people who said it = 14 points for saying it.)
