I broke the 100 pound barrier today, after stalling in the 90’s for about 3 weeks.
so that makes 101lbs lost from 10-15-03 to 6-12-04.
Word.
Pats on the back welcomed, I have about 140 more to go, so ENCOURAGE ME, DAMNIT!! I mean…encouragement welcomed. 
Wow, that’s awesome. Really. And if you can lose 100, you can lose another 140.

Wow, 100 lbs in under 8 months is very good. 3 lbs a week. WHen you say 3 lbs a week it doesn’t sound like alot but over 33 weeks i guess it adds up pretty quickly.

Seriously, you’ve lost almost a grown adult human being. How cool is that? You might have a long way to go, but think about this: next time you go to the market, try to pick up 100 pounds of dog food, rock salt, or whatever–it will blow your mind how much you’ve lost.

I’ve found a healthy mix of crystal meth and exercise to be the magic bullet for me!

I found that by varying my intake daily, I could get my body to shed pounds:
3 days a week: 1200-1500 cals(no, I’m not hungry)
3 days a week: 1500-2000 cals
1 day a week: whatever I want, usually ~2500 cals
That, for some reason, gets my body to lose better than staying on a solid 1800 a day, whatever works, I suppose.
Oh, and I’ve found a new love in sauteed zucchini.
I’m on the Atkins diet, very strictly, not like some people who foul it up(believe me, it’s very irritating to have someone at work order a sweet tea and a low-carb New Orleans Seafood). My Doctor okayed it for me and instructed me to up the fiber, to avoid some of the nasty side effects, and it seems to have worked just fine.
Oh, except I’m dead now, since Atkins is fatal, ask any :wally that is an Olympic Athlete

in the beginning four months, I didn’t count a single calorie, except when I was like “wow…5000 calories today…and I lost a pound, hell yes”

I’m down 14 for the first month, with about 80 or so to go on Weight Watchers points plan…Damndest thing, I’m still eatin everything I did last month. It works like a charm.

Yes, of course. :rolleyes: It’s a [sarcasm] horrible [/sarcasm] diet. I recently lost 70 pounds on Atkins, and I’m dead, too. That must be why I feel so good.
Do a search on it, and you’ll see some of the narrow-minded thinking that goes on around here about it.
