Wow… you graphic design artists are a touchy bunch. Information wants to be free, why not art too? Isn’t suffering and doing without supposed to improve your art? Give it that zingy edgy edge that stays with you like a spike in your frontal lobe.

Eutychus, next time you need something like this, might i suggest following the example set by Mangetout a few years ago.
Set it up as a competition, offer a credit for the image on your site, and a “small, non-monetary prize,” and you’ll have people falling over themselves to draw you a picture.

I was going to suggest that. Granted, my logo needs were somewhat different in scope than the OP’s - and the entries were very variable in concept and execution, but ultimately, it worked very well, and I’m still using the winning logo
